Helen Thurston

Originally from southern England, Helen relocated to Switzerland in 1997 and has been residing in the Basel area with her family since 2010. She possesses a Degree in Mathematics, a Master’s in Statistics, and is CELTA-qualified, with extensive experience teaching both children and adults.

After a career in the Pharma industry, Helen fully transitioned into language education in 2015, teaching at various language schools, including the Sprachenzentrum at the University of Basel. With over a decade of experience as a Basel Girl Scouts Troop Leader, Helen enjoys working with young learners and designing fun, engaging lessons.

Beyond teaching, Helen enjoys exploring nature and singing with the Basel Proms Choir.
