Maria Nocera

Head of School; Riehen & Therwil

As of July 2022, Maria has taken over as Head of School for Ahead With English.

Maria is from Guatemala and grew up in Houston, Texas, where she received her Bachelors Degree in International Studies. She completed her MBA at Pepperdine University and moved to Switzerland to work in the Pharm-Finance Industry from 2002 – 2012.

In 2014 she completed her US Teaching Certificate at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. After 3 children and several international moves, Maria is happy to call Basel home again. Maria loves to read, hike and travel.
