Maria is originally from the Philippines and now considers Switzerland her adopted county. Maria's passion and vocation is teaching young children: she has been teaching for more than twenty years in various capacities in other international schools and locales. She is interested in young children's holistic learning and mulilingual and multicultural indentity development. Maria finished her MA in Pyschology Counseling, as well as an MAEd. in Language and Literacy Studies. She holds both a professional teaching certificate (University of the Philippine Open University) and a Graduate Certification in Education (University of Cumbria, UK).
Maria is a mother of two multilingual, former Ahead With English students. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, traveling, and visiting museums.
